Do you like Sun Cellular’s affordable call and text promos but can’t fully utilize the service because of poor signal? Fret no more. Sun Cellular has announced that it has started its intensified network expansion program bringing complete mobile network coverage all over Mindanao.
The first wave of these network enhancement efforts are now being felt in the areas of Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Camiguin, Zamboanga, Tawi-Tawi, Dinagat Island, Compostella Valley, Sulu, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Davao del Sur, among others.
In addition to setting up more equipment to augment its existing 6,000 cellsites, Sun Cellular will be utilizing SMART’s powerful network to boost its coverage. This means Sun Cellular subscribers, in areas where there is no Sun Cellular signal, will be able to connect to SMART using their existing Sun Cellular phone. Here’s how:
1. Go to PHONE SETTINGS;
2. Choose NETWORK SELECTION or OPERATOR SELECTION;
3. Select MANUAL. The phone will then show all available networks;
4. Choose SMART;
5. Repeat steps 1 to 3 and then select AUTOMATIC.
Sun Cellular’s network improvement program will also bring improved 2G and 3G signals.
